Dolomedes fimbriatus, Dolomède Marsh, is a species of spider in the Pisauridae family.

This species occurs in the Palearctic. It is a fairly widespread in France and Europe spider but it is scarce because of the disappearance of its biotope: swamps where the water remains permanently.

The dark body is brown with a yellowish lateral band.

Habitat
The spider can immerse themselves in the water without drowning. It feeds on aquatic insects, FRY, petitsbatraciens.
Females lay more than a thousand eggs they divided in two (sometimes more) Green cocoons.

Possible confusion with
Dolomedes plantarius, distinguished only by details at the level of the genitals...(much darker in general)
